MY WAVE
KJRW took a little break from New Wave Summer to bring you Grunge Week. Pearl Jam's Home Shows raised about $11 million to fight homelessness.
We now return to New Wave Summer, already in progress. New Wave Summer continues through Labor Day.
Thanks for listening in the U.S., Germany, Spain, Canada, Netherlands, Finland, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, France, and Ireland!

JUNE HYMN
Almost 400 of you clicked the play button on KJRW over 800 times and listened for over 2 thousand hours during the month of May. That puts us over halfway to our ultimate listening goal we need to reach by the end of October to stay online. Listening time increased 17% from April to May.
Sadly, that percentage dropped in the past week by 8% due to technical difficulties with Radionomy. Several of their streams have only played sporadically since the Friday before Memorial Weekend, including ours. There has been no reply to our inquiry for a solution. We're back on today.
New Wave Summer begins in a couple of weeks. KJRW will showcase artists such as: Joy Division, Duran Duran, Blondie, Devo, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Talking Heads, and more all summer long.
As always, we take your requests at kjrwwestseattle@yahoo.com or on our Facebook Page. You can also follow us on Twitter and Instagram.
Thanks for listening in the U.S., Germany, France, Spain, Netherlands, Canada, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Sweden, Austria, U.K., Ecuador, Morocco, and Thailand.

THE FIRST DAYS OF SPRING
Our Spring Fling got off to a slow start, but love began to bloom over the first Punk Rock Weekend ever on KJRW. You pushed the play button 254 times on Saturday and Sunday to hear the Ramones, Clash, Sex Pistols, and more. Listeners spent one hundred more hours with KJRW on Punk Rock Weekend than the previous weekend. We may have to do this again soon.
Folks have spent almost 8 hundred hours listening to KJRW during the first half of April. Radionomy will be looking at our listening time at the end of this month to determine if they will give us more space for more songs or if they will drop us from the website. It is up to YOU to keep KJRW online once again by listening.
Thanks for listening in the U.S., France, Sweden, Canada, Germany, Greece, Austria, Poland, New Zealand, Uruguay, Italy, Spain, Australia, and the U.K.

WHAT'S GOING ON (at the End of July)
It's the last Monday of the month. That means KJRW provides the music round of the Shadowland Pub Quiz! Come Out and Play at the corner of California and Oregon in West Seattle at 8 p.m. Celebrate the last month of New Wave Summer by naming that New Wave tune in the audio round.
Yep, there's just one month left of New Wave Summer. Get the T-shirt before it leaves the KJRW Corner Store.
And there are only two months left in our contract with Radionomy. We're going to need a huge increase in listening to stay online past September. So listen early and often!
Folks in the U.S., Germany, Canada, France, Spain, Poland, U.A.E., China, Italy, U.K., Greece, and Israel spent the most time with the station during the past month.
If everyone that checked out the station during the month of July had stuck around for at least an hour, KJRW's listening time would be at 100%.
Would you do that? Spend just one hour a day with KJRW?

KJRW will feature a different artist every day this month!
A reason to listen every day in May.
Time spent listening in April fell to 28%. Our hope was to achieve at least 57% to be on pace to reach 100% in 5 months. People did spend over 11 hundred hours with KJRW in the U.S., Germany, Canada, France, Spain, Poland, Austria, and Italy.
It's still cold, cloudy, and rainy in Seattle, but New Wave Summer is right around the corner...

Thanks for listening in the U.S., Germany, Canada, France, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy, and Switzerland.
Something funny is going on all day today on KJRW. Listen for songs you will only hear on April 1st.

WHAT'S GOING ON (at the End of February)
We're sad to report listening dropped to 21% of our goal during February. There needs to be a huge increase in March because Radionomy will be checking in on us at the end of the month.
People spent the most time with KJRW in the U.S., Canada, Germany, France, Greece, Italy, and Mexico.
This Spring, KJRW is gonna get out from Under the Covers and Tighten Up. KJRW Goes Green on March 17th, with songs from Green Day every hour.
And if we get enough listening hours in March, not only will we get to stay online for another six months, but we will be given the space to add a bunch more songs.

Please continue to enjoy all the cover songs this winter on KJRW. It's what we need to keep us warm.

WHAT'S GOING ON (at the end of March)
Over a thousand people checked out KJRW in March, and spent over a thousand hours listening. We didn't quite reach the daily average listening time we were shooting for, so please help us spread the word that KJRW is now on Radionomy. People listened in the U.S., Canada, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Germany, Brazil, Finland, Australia and the U.K. the most.
April Fool's Day tradition at KJRW is to play songs not usually heard on the station. In the past, there has been everything from disco to rap. Tune in to see what happens this year!

WHAT'S GOING ON (in the beginning of March)
March has come in like a lion, with a bunch of technical difficulties from Radionomy. Songs were repeated over and over and there was dead air for many hours. It was as frustrating for us as it was to you, we are sure. It seems that we are back on course now. (We hope!)
KJRW's first month on Radionomy went pretty well. We uploaded close to 7 hundred songs by over a hundred different artists. Our audience grew steadily through February, as we lingered Under the Covers. Close to a thousand streams were launched. People spent almost 12 hundred hours listening in:
