WHAT'S GOING ON (at the Beginning of March)

One week into March, listening has increased 8%.  Let's keep it going!  If we stay at this pace, Radionomy will keep KJRW online at the end of the month.

Those rascals at Radionomy have mislabeled a Ramones song in our playlist.  The first listener that discovers this mistake and emails us at kjrwwestseattle@yahoo.com with the correct title and what it was changed to will win a crisp one hundred dollar bill!

KJRW goes green this St. Patrick's Day, playing a Green Day song every hour!  Listen for all the hits, deeper cuts, mashups, and covers from Green Day on the 17th.

Tuesday, February 28

WHAT'S GOING ON (at the End of February)

We're sad to report listening dropped to 21% of our goal during February.  There needs to be a huge increase in March because Radionomy will be checking in on us at the end of the month.

People spent the most time with KJRW in the U.S., Canada, Germany, France, Greece, Italy, and Mexico.

This Spring, KJRW is gonna get out from Under the Covers and Tighten Up.  KJRW Goes Green on March 17th, with songs from Green Day every hour.

And if we get enough listening hours in March, not only will we get to stay online for another six months, but we will be given the space to add a bunch more songs.

WHAT'S GOING ON (At the Beginning of our 7th Year)

KJRW CELEBRATES 3 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE
AS WE BEGIN OUR 7TH YEAR ONLINE

Keep KJRW online by listening.  Radionomy asks us for 40 more hours a day of listening in order for us to stay on.

A week into December, KJRW has gone undercover.  The Clash and Dead Kennedys both cover I Fought the Law.  A Perfect Circle covers John Lennon.  Cage the Elephant covers the Talking Heads.  Devo covers the Rolling Stones.  Foo Fighters cover Prince.  Green Day covers the Kinks.  Nirvana covers Bowie.  The Offspring cover the Ramones.  Rage Against the Machine covers Bob Dylan.  Red Hot Chili Peppers cover Stevie Wonder.  Smashing Pumpkins cover Fleetwood Mac.  Stone Temple Pilots cover Led Zeppelin.  All this and more, all winter long.  Get Under the Covers with KJRW.

And this Monday, KJRW declares war on Christmas!  Listen for punk rock holiday themed songs sprinkled into the mix through the 25th.

WHAT'S GOING ON (in the middle of September)

All Request Fall is underway on KJRW.  You say it, we play it. Comment with a request or email it.

It is also that time of year we usually ask you to donate to our Go Fund Me page.  But we don't want your money this time.  This year we need something a little more precious in order to stay online -- your time.

If you want KJRW to stay online, you need to listen... a LOT.

Listening time has expanded 60% in just the last 2 weeks.  That's great.  But, we need it to be 43% higher in a few weeks than it is now or KJRW will be silenced.

So download the FREE Radionomy App for your phone or tablet,
or go to http://www.radionomy.com/en/radio/kjrw and spend some time with KJRW.

If just 55 more people spend one hour a day listening, we will meet our goal.

KJRW GOES GREEN

Top o' the mornin' to ya!  KJRW has gone green for St. Patty's Day.  Tune in today to hear a Green Day song every hour.  According to our extremely scientific Twitter poll, your favorite is When I Come Around, so we'll be sure to be giving that a spin.

Speaking of Twitter, we've picked up more followers.  And it's not creepy at all.  The more the merrier!

Also, the more listening hours we have, the longer we stay online.  You can help by making sure you listen in every day and by sharing KJRW with your friends.

While the cabbage is boiling on the front burner, we have something cooking on the back burner for April Fool's Day that we think you're sure to enjoy...

WHAT'S GOING ON (in the beginning of March)

March has come in like a lion, with a bunch of technical difficulties from Radionomy.  Songs were repeated over and over and there was dead air for many hours.  It was as frustrating for us as it was to you, we are sure.  It seems that we are back on course now. (We hope!)

KJRW's first month on Radionomy went pretty well.  We uploaded close to 7 hundred songs by over a hundred  different artists.  Our audience grew steadily through February, as we lingered Under the Covers.  Close to a thousand streams were launched.  People spent almost 12 hundred hours listening in:

  1. U.S.A.
  2. Canada
  3. Sweden
  4. France
  5. Brazil
  6. U.K.
  7. Japan
  8. Mexico
  9. Italy
  10. Serbia

Help us reach our goal of adding 10 more hours of listening per day by the end of March.  Share the station on Facebook and Twitter.  Or do it the old fashioned way and talk to to a friend about KJRW.  If you enjoy it, they may also.

Listen for Green Day every hour on St. Patrick's Day!
And stay tuned to learn how you could win cold, hard cash from KJRW...

WHAT'S GOING ON (in the middle of May)

Our host site, Live365 is currently conducting a survey by sending listeners an email with a link to the poll questions.  They mostly concern how you would like to monetarily support your favorite broadcasters.  The results we have seen show that people do not really like the idea of subscribing to Live365 and giving a fixed extra amount of money as a donation to their favorite station.  If you would like to support KJRW without going through Live365, you may visit our Go Fund Me page, and donate any amount you wish.  We have added rewards such as stickers, magnets and T-shirts for your contribution.
